Wakaba Documentation (10)

I've been using Wakaba for over a year now, and I've yet to find any real documentation on proxy detection or the SQL interface. Just how do you set up proxy detection, and what exactly is the SQL interface for? What does the reset button do in the management panel? There are just so many things left undocumented, despite this apparently being the most minimal image board software ever created. Can anyone maybe clear up some of the lesser known/used functions? Does anyone need anything cleared up? If so, post in this thread. Hopefully we can all put together some current answers to questions today's Wakaba users have.

Also, Is there any chance we'll ever see some of the "secret features" documented?

I did some looking around, and it looks like the NUKE_PASS in config.pl is used execute things from the SQL panel, but not to actually nuke the board. For that, all you need is your admin password. Kind of confusing...

Actually, ignore this. Turns out that was an error on my part.

Bumping this in the hopes that someone tells me something.

Proxy detection was never implemented. The SQL interface is for issuing queries. What reset button? The nuke page nukes the board.

>Proxy detection was never implemented.

There's an option for it and I vaguely remember there being a tutorial involving compiling something from the source.

>What reset button?

The one that says reset.

>The nuke page nukes the board.

There actually is no nuke page. Its just an option while logging in.

This is probably off topic, but I just found this post a year after making it, and I'm completely blown away by how little I knew and how much I've learned in almost exactly a year. I went from having never written a SQL query to doubling the size of wakaba.pl.
