Integration of several boards into one (9, permasaged)

Lets say I have boards a,b,c,d,e,f,g

I was wondering if there was a way to have another board, z, which would be able to take all of the posts from a,b,c,d,e,f,g, and order them all in one place as if a,b,c,d,e,f,g were all one imageboard?

Technically it is possible if you know Perl and a bit of SQL, but you'll have one hell of a time fixing the post numbering stuff, image URLs and other things; I'd say it's not worth the effort.

The way I envision it working is as follows:

I take board z and have it search through the databases of a-g.
The results would be put into some sort of array or matrix and arranged by timestamp.
The resulting array would then be spewed out onto board z.

any tips as to how to do this?

You could theoretically create a "polywakaba", that is, a polycat board with one wakaba install using a specialized config file and an extra script for creating new boards (or you could use existing comments in the reply thread as new boards etc etc), but like Anonymous above, you'd have a load of trouble getting it to work.

Don't worry, though, I'm working on a similar project currently.

I'd let y'all know how my polywakaba project goes. Cheers!

wait, how do we set up multiple boards in the first place?
(I'm using the Kareha Script)

also, is the Wakaba Script better or more stable? thnx

With Kareha you can only make one board per install, separate installs = separate boards.

Like Anon said,

You need to "install" or upload the files for the Kareha/Wakaba script to your root.
you get a zip called "wakaba/kareha" and then you unzip/extract the zip archive in the inside of your root.
Then you get a wakaba/kareha folder with all the files/folders for the script on the inside. So in a way each folder encapsulates a different board or board, lol.

So you can rename the "board" folder on the root of your server, it makes no diff. I named mine to:

a,ac, b, ban, c, gif, h, hr, p, poke, s, wp, vg and I'll be adding some in due time.

So name your files whatevah, pizza, munky, tp, puter, com, tele, it doesn't matter.
