So do you feel that the separation between discussion boards and imageboards hasn't at all converged over time?

I understand your philosophy on keeping things pure and simple, but at the same time the users have fashioned temporary-discussion boards out of imageboards, that seems to be what they want, regardless of the intended purpose :(
