4chan's stricter ban policy (10)

Somewhere around the start of this year, 4chan started enforcing much, much stricter ban policies, with the unfortunate result that their site - which formerly functioned as a kind of internet flypaper (with most of the stupidest people on the internet getting stuck on 4chan) - is now forcing the rest of us to endure the company of the rabble that they created. As it turns out, or as it seems anyway, the 4chan castoffs seem to outnumber the population on most imageboards and the ex-4chan folk are fairly effective at driving off/burying the previously preferred content.
Other than spotting them individually, how is it best to deal with them?
HTTP referrer doesn't work in most cases and 4chan is not will to share their banned IP list.
