Why, if there's are chance to host a php textboard?

Because clearly, there isn't a Kareha in PHP.

When confronted with a host that can't handle Perl scripts, why do people always decide to find a new script instead of finding a new host?

I'd understand if at the very least you wanted PHP because you wanted to make changes and PHP was the only thing you knew. But if web host support is the only thing keeping you from using Kareha, then that's not a very good excuse.

All of the good free web hosts offer CGI/Perl. And if you're paying for it, they sure as hell better offer CGI/Perl.

I guess what I'm trying to say is: A new host is easier to find than a new script.
