Startup FAQ? (7)

Is there a FAQ on starting up a message board for people who can't grasp the procedure from the brief description give under "Join Wakachan?" Yeah, I've been hand-coding HTML since 1996, but I haven't gotten much past that. I'd love to start a new image board, and I'm willing to pay for a decent host for storage and bandwidth, and learn to handle things such as SQL, if I could just find a guide. -_- There's probably one I can't find, so if you can help out ...

For any questions on setting up Wakaba (our image board software of choice) go to http://wakaba.c3.cx/docs/docs.html and http://wakaba.c3.cx/sup/

Other than that, somebody should list some free and / or cheap hosts with which enterprises like these can be made.

The Wakaba docs are still somewhat incomplete, but they give a number of hints, at least. A short summary exists at http://wakaba.c3.cx/docs/docs.html#WakabaQuickStart.

For hosting, people seem somewhat impressed with dreamhost.com for cheap hosting with lots of bandwidth. If you want free, 100webspace.com seems to be the way to go even though they're a bit flaky at times. Nowadays you get 3GB of bandwidth per month for free, which isn't half bad. Not enough for an image board with a large number of users, but it might be enough for a smaller one. For a message board it's more than enough.

Thanks for the mockery-free replies. :) I had missed those files. I'll keep you posted...
