since it is no longer available on the documentation, one would be helpful.
also, with my current config, the java fails on loading...
is this a normal error? i wonder if it is the config, or ..?
It should involve anyhing but copying the files out of extras/oekaki/
into the main dir, and installing the spainter.jar
and maybe palette_selfy.js
files, and then editing wakaba.pl to use oekaki_style.pl
instead of futaba_style.pl
i did this, and checked to make sure all appeared to be correct,
the end result /appeared/ fine, but when loading the painter from the board, the java applet failed to load.
Very strange. Does paint.pl work properly? Does it output source that seems sensible?
I had this exact same problem just today. I was trying to install spainter.jar without palette_selfy.js. The java would fail to load and there would be an X at the upper-left corner of the applet. However, when I put palette_selfy.js in the directory it suddenly started working. I hope that helps.
Also, I have a question which may or may not be related. Should I use spainter.jar or spainter_all.jar?
Same issues, now over a year later. I can't get my hands on palette_selfy.js (the site you link to in the docs is dead), and I'm also not clear on whether to use _all or not.
Assistance is requested.
Steal palette_selfy.js off another board, I guess. It's been so long since I worked on this, I don't recall what to about the jars.
Hmm. Looks like using the .js file from http://useyan.x0.com/s/cgi/relm/palette_selfy.html fixes things. Somewhere, the palette file became required by mistake.
Also, I use the _all.jar, and that seems to work.
