I keep getting this error:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I'm pretty sure it's because i don't have the mySQL in correctly, except I'm not sure where to find it in my cPanel. I have it set too what the "MySQL Databases" says it is, but apperently thats not working. I have changed all the passwords and stuff correctly, and the permissions. So what's wrong here?
Try reading http://wakaba.c3.cx/sup/kareha.pl/1109033191 first.
Got that fixed.
But now I'm getting a: SQL connection failure. What is this caused by?
Don't mean to hijack this, but I'd rather not make a new thread when this one is bumped to the top. I am also getting Internal Server Error, but this is after changing
BEGIN { require "strings_en.pl"; }
to
BEGIN { require "strings_jp.pl"; }
in wakaba.pl, afterwards trying to revert the changes will not solve the problem.
Double-check your SQL_DBI_SOURCE, SQL_USERNAME and SQL_PASSWORD in config.pl against what is given in "MySQL Databases" of your cPanel. The database will be displayed something like;
x_database
Users in discussion
x_user (Privileges: ALL PRIVILEGES)
Hope that helps.
Maybe your text editor blasted the permissions on the file? Some do that, and it's horribly annoying.
I thought that might be it so I chmod'd it again, deleted the file and uploaded the updated wakaba.pl then chmod'd, no change. I even nuked the whole dir with a fresh copy of wakaba and only changed what had to be in config.pl and the lang line in wakaba.pl, exact same thing happens. No idea what could be causing this besides bad permissions?
Oops, I should mention I have a copy with strings_en.pl working fine.
Well, all the ideas I have are in http://wakaba.c3.cx/sup/kareha.pl/1109033191.
Seeing as this is now the third thread about 500s, maybe putting a link on top of the thread list to the thread in >>8 would be helpful?
Yes, if I was that well-organized a person, it would probably be. It'd look pretty lonely up there all by itself though.
double-check ownership as well as permissions, and scour strings_jp.pl for typos, are my suggestions.
Also, are your server OS and Perl interpreter both capable of handling the multibyte encoding of Japanese text strings? If not, the interpreter will abort upon reading the first multibyte string, and the http daemon will give a 500 error.
