Given Alpha's out of body flights and how Director Alpha usually connects to Tapoon to observe the earth....

...I wouldn't sort out some sort of "encounter"...

...but somehow it does not entirely match with YKK's world...

you know. it almost like Alpha serie are just placed on earth for the M1 or sumding to help with the observing. it almost like M1 and M2 are really aready connected, but unknownly aware of it or so

I think M1 is aware of M2... but I don't think they will meet face to face.

In reply to the previous post:

For backward support, M2 should be quite aware of M1.

Since they was made first, M1 should have known of M2 long before they are "born".

They should have met...

As a footnote...

... It would be quite interesting to learn why the M3 call the M1 "The phantom"

The M1 has been skipping across the stratosphere for many years, and few on the ground seem to be aware that she is up there. She is probably `the phantom' because she has dissappeared off the face of the Earth. That has always been my interpretation, at least.

Yeah, I agree.

In the Japanese text, Kokone uses 'maboroshi-no' to describe the M1.

If you refer to something as a 'maboroshi-no THING', you mean that it has not been seen for a long time or that it is valuable and hard to find.

'Maboroshi' itself means something which you think you experience but which is not real. However you use 'maboroshi-no' to describe something existed or believed to have existed. You don't use 'maboroshi-no' to describe "the spirit of a dead person".

'Maboroshi-no' can be translated as "unseen", "missing", "lost", "legendary" as well as "phantom", depending on context.
