The idea is that I'm going to put together a futaba-style template to let you run Kareha instead of Wakaba Zero. Of course, this gazo-ch style will also be an option if you prefer it. I'm trying to make Kareha be a lot more general, with several different operating modes, like a blog/newspost mode.
you know, if you made kareha output valid xhtml, you could send it as application/xhtml+xml and not have the stupid 100webspace banners...
It should be valid, except for the <nobr> tags, but at least those are closed.
And if I really WANTED to remove them, there are many ways that could be done.

i tried removing the <nobr> tags and sending it as application/xhtml+xml and firefox doesn't display it... it says "not well formed"...
Hmm, some bugs may have crept in since I last validated it. Try running it through the W3C validator and see what it says.

i took out the <nobr>
tags, changed all &thread=
to &thread=
, made it send as application/xhtml+xml instead of text/html, and added image posting.
The japanese template won't work without the <nobr> tags though. But I suspect they won't create a problem with the xhtml+xml mode. More likely it's the broken entities. I fixed those for the next release.

iirc, the w3c validator complained about the <nobr>
tags... you could just replace them with <span style="white-space:nowrap;">
...
Problem is: IE doesn't know about white-space
.
http://conlang.freelinuxhost.com/index.html
added CXS (http://www.theiling.de/ipa/) to IPA conversion...
That is pretty cool, even though I hardly know what it is.
i was just thinking... it would be really nice if there was a way to make modules for kareha that replace certain things (process_tripcode(), do_wakabamark(), do_spans(), etc.)...

Hah, that's a neat hack! Now if only we'd all switch to using IPA instead of the standard English alphabet, and everything would be saner.
Or maybe not. Drat regional accents.
I've considered the same thing. A plugin system would be nice... I just haven't had a good idea of how to do it properly.
i had a good idea, but i typed a bunch of code and clicked submit and it vanished and i don't really want to type all of it again right now...

zOMG IE DOESN'T WORK FOR BROWSE TEH INTARWEB NE MORE!! WHAT WILL I DO?!?!
>>26
let's make web sites that don't display at all in the most popular browser in current use, because we're too good for IE! lol you firefox fags are getting to be as bad as mac fags. if firefox was an improvement for you it just proves you were too stupid to properly secure IE.
> lol you firefox fags
and opera fags
and mozilla fags
and konqueror fags
and lynx fags
just open your eyes and realize that IE is nothing but a huge pile of crap you only design sites for if your paying customer base is made out of retards you need to cater somehow.

All right, here's another test board, as if I didn't have enough of those scattered around already. This is running the Kareha modification that's going to replace Wakaba Zero, and it needs to be bashed around for a bit to shake out the bugs. I'd be much obliged if some of you would do a bit of bashing on it.

It's broken for me.

That's just 100webspace's completely broken servers. Nothing to be done about it.
Sure, you try and find free hosting with 3GB of transfer and CGI scripting. Lots of people would want it.
Some bugs fixed!

All these links are broken. I would totally like to see...
I wonder if that has anything to do with the thread being FOUR YEARS OLD.
I wish a lot of things I was doing four years ago were still up.

I knew that, still wanted to see what was so neat. Are there any current modern mutations?
