Image links should link TO THE IMAGE. Otherwise the browser's controls and settings for resizing images don't take effect, ctrl-s will save the wrong thing, and right click -> save target won't work either. That's probably the dumbest of the dumb things that I saw offhand, but there's plenty more.

When you're reinventing shit, at least take the time to think over the rationale behind the original design before stuffing it full of WEB TWO POINT OH bullshit. There are good reasons for how imageboards work, and you're only making it shittier by trying to add to it.
