Hey guys,
A friend of mine and I are developing a new php/mysql based imageboard software and need your opinion on it:
Live Demo site:
http://www.random-anime.com/
We're designing it so almost any person can just download, install, run and manage it very easily. It's not really meant to be a replacement for wakaba, etc.. It's just a very easy script with a couple of useful features (installable themes, remote spam list updating, etc..).
Here's a preview of the admin panel we have so far:

If you have questions/comments/concerns, just ask :)
-Thanks
Not everyone should have an imageboard! This is a bad idea!
Well why is that though? Why can't the promotion of imageboards be a good thing?
The mentality that only certain people should have imageboards doesn't make sense and is counter-productive. It's time to get your ass out of your head and start thinking more than following what others say.
Looks nice, except for your colors. :)

This is only going to be used by 14 year olds trying to make there own 4chan you do relies!
Ah thank you, we're going to end up making a couple of themes to go initially along with it though :P.

This is the problem of letting anyone to make imageboards. We already saw the problem with Kusaba: it was easy to install and use, and it tried it best to look exactly like 4chan. What happened? It attracted the attention of all the kids who wanted to "BE LIEK M00T LULZ" and started cloning 4chan hundred times, instead of making their original imageboard with different ideologies.

Sounds like you should be blaming the developers for being unoriginal instead of the kids who are just using what's given to them.
>>11
But why do we need to worry about what some little moots are doing? Their 4chan-copy imageboards never get any frequent users anyways.
>>12
What? Not at all, I'm completely blaming the kids. I'm mentioning that that kind of kids found comfort in an easy to use platform, I'm not blaming the developers, of course they weren't aware this was going to happen.
>>13
I'm not worried, I'm saying something easy to use will attract that kind of users. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think you misread my comment.
