That's really not much of an accomplishment. For a few years I used w3m on the Linux console for nearly everything -- I didn't have a gui installed at all, just w3m and a framebuffer image viewer (fbv? fbi? one of those).
All it really takes is not requiring javascript for every link and form *hack*ASP*cough*. Unfortunately the general consensus nowadays seems to be shifting toward the superfluous use of javascript. :(
(I keep meaning to hack a javascript engine onto w3m...)
