Not sure if this is the right place to ask (probably isn't, but I can't find anywhere better), but how exactly do I get started with channel boards?
I'm interested in starting up one with a very small amount of html on the viewers side, so that it can be quickly and easily accessed via mobile phones. I've downloaded both the kareha (xhtml sounds tempting) and wakaba source, I'll have a old debian box up and running apache/mysql/php within the hour... now what do I do?

mods, move if you need.

This question seems suited for the wakaba/kareha support board.

If you don't know how to do the most basic tasks involved, what makes you think you can finish your whole project?

speaking, as someone running some iichan boards, html bandwidth is never going to be a problem, as only %5 of your bandwidth used is HTML, the rest images (taken from my webstats)

That's a fairly liberal estimate, unless nobody's clicking on your images... on my boards, html files only make up about two percent.
