A Wired article about 2ch and its effects on Japanese Culture. Nothing you don't already know, but interesting none-the-less.
Where else have Imageboards/Textboards been featured in the media? 4chan's recent run-ins with the law over both football and in relation to VTech come to mind.
The vtech thing was a prank, of course, and only a few papers fell for it, and a Swedish tabloid. Still, I guess it sort of counts.
4chan was briefly mentioned in the November 2006 issue of Wired in an article about huge niche forums. In February a reporter from a Canadian paper was trying to get in contact with anonymous posters for an article on -chans and pedophilia. The article should have been published by now, but hey, can't remember what paper it was lol.
