There's a low-life worm who's spamming porn site URLs on image boards all over the world. He tried hitting iichan earlier, and I found that banning the domain names he was spamming was a very efficient method of getting rid of him. However, when iichan went down I lost the list of domains I'd collected. I'd like to collect a new list here, for everybody who runs an image board, should he start pestering them.
Basic idea: if you see a porn site URL spammed on image boards (these spam posts are usually replies to existing posts, containing nothing but the URL), post the domain name here. Cut out any initial "http://" or "www.", and cut off any path at the end of the URL. Banning the root domain is the most efficient solution. I'll post some examples.
siroutomovie.com
hamedori-tousatsu.com
enkou-hamedori.com
Furthermore, a quick guide to banning these domains:
In wakaba, go to the admin panel, click "Bans", and then enter each domain as a word ban.
In futaba and futallaby, edit the .php file of the script itself, and find the line that starts "$badstring = array(", and change it like this:
$badstring = array("siroutomovie.com","hamedori-tousatsu.com","enkou-hamedori.com");
This guy is pretty clever, spams his site together with random AA in 2chan's AA boards:
uradvderos.com
k.excite.co.jp/hp/u/m-a12/
adult-live.tv/
osaif.com/?-gantz-
littleteengallery.com
beautynude.com
psyche.ugmax.com
btw, not all of these is porn, but all is clearly spam.

I am thinking about advertising this thread on the magicalbbs. Would that be okay?
Sure. I do have some backup plans in case I run out of bandwidth.
Off to the automatic online translation service I am!
Titling the thread 'SPAM' was maybe not the wisest move (w
You'd think it would be common sense to not assume that spammers would title their own stuff as SPAM, no?
bbslolita.18.to
This thread is now obsolote. If you find spammed links on image board, please submit them to this database I have created. You can also refer to it for anti-spam definitions for several different scripts.
Damn you, sage!
I think we got a reply by the admin
and I think he says that he doesn't consider this method to be effective
since the spammers would just come up with new URLs,
and that he has reported them to the police for child pornography stuff
and relies on the legal authorities to deal with the case.
I think he's rather naive.
Yeah, creating a domain costs money and takes effort, while banning a new one takes a few seconds.
I can see where you are coming from, but then there are sites like tinyurl, beam.to and many other ones in which you just insert your URL and then have a new forwarding URL. As of now, you have to manually report spammers and child porn sites to the providers of such shirtlink-generators. I have no idea whether they exchange global blacklists, but it certainly could be seen as a problem.
If spammers start using tinyurl and the like, they go on the ban list. It's an inconvenience to the normal users, but not as big an inconvenience as the spam.
And regarding global blacklists, http://wakaba.c3.cx/antispam/
Oh, I did already.
You know, I need to add a feature to make links posted in certain threads go straight into the spam file.
Yes, that's the main problem.
Yes! Yes! Just what I always wanted!
>>42 what about a limit on the number of urls per post? or adding "<a href=" to the spam list?
>what about a limit on the number of urls per post?
that sounds like a good idea to me...
>or adding "<a href=" to the spam list?
that makes it difficult for people to put links in posts if they use HTML formatting...
>>51 but you don't have to use html formatting for links to work...
Ok, since this is obviously not working, I'm enabling captchas for now.
the captchas don't show up in opera mini...
I'm not certain it'd do you much good, considering that what you see displayed in Opera mini is preprocessed. The captcha would probably think you're one of numerous IPs in an IP pool?
The Kareha captcha doesn't use IPs, though, it uses cookies. Which might be a problem for Opera mini too, I don't know.
opera mini does support cookies, so it should work if it would display the image.

Now with capchas enabled can you reopen http://wakaba.c3.cx/soc/kareha.pl/1104803127 and http://wakaba.c3.cx/soc/kareha.pl/1122273773?
Sure.

Is that spam in the spam reporting thread? Jeez.
Hahahaha.
Everything spammed in etherchan.org

In Wakaba's online spam.txt, there is an entry for "cia-lis." I believe this at least should be changed to /\bcia-lis\b/ as otherwise the software will block words like "socia-lism" and "specia-list." I question whether "ring-tones" should be blocked either. "&-gt;&-gt;" can also cause problems when replying to a post through admin posting. Naturally, in the above quoted strings, the hyphen should be omitted when reading.
I humbly propose that spam.txt be made a bit more conservative.
I fixed the cia-lis bit. The > bit was for an old broken spam bot which really caused mayhem if not blocked, but it may not be around any more. However, spam filters shouldn't be applied to admin posts. If they are, that's a bug.
