YKK Forum

BitTorrent of translated YKK available

This may be a reseeding from MangaProject; there doesn't seem to be much detail about the translators etc. in the files themselves. The scans are about 40% larger than Damien's (typically 770x1100 pixels) but I can't speak for the translation quality. It's interesting to compare some favourite scenes in both versions though.

And look down the list. There are two torrents, one for YKK volumes 1-4 and the other for volumes 5-8. They both run to about 120Mb each.

Howdy,

I don't know about other translation efforts, but I find Neil's translations to be very good (minor nitpicking aside).

Best,

Dave

I don't know enough Japanese to judge between the two versions -- I'm studying the language but I'm very much at the beginning stages.

There are a few things I've already noticed, such as the omake four-box strip in the first volume where the Misago sees Alpha wearing a tee-shirt and tries to copy her. This version translates the printing on the sack she's wearing as "High Quality Soy Beans" which is a nice addition.

Manga Projects translation says High Quality Soy Bean, btw are there any other groups translating it other than MP and here?

I converted the Manga Project translation to cbz format to save hard drive space and figured I'd share the files:

CBZ files are just zip files with different extensions that certain programs can view the image files in without you having to extract the files, which is why it takes up less space.

On Windows, use CDisplay - http://www.geocities.com/davidayton/CDisplay

On a Mac, use
Comical - http://jathey.home.comcast.net/Comical-MacOSX-0.4.zip

Enjoy!
