It's interesting to see the raw manga and contrast the impression it makes with the translated version. In this case, I suspect there's much more in the text than can be guessed from the pictures...

Yeah, Kerry, I bought first 12 volumes and can say there is a differing feeling from reading it in japaneese. misago.org have a really good translation, but sometimes I find myself smiling at panels previously looking not so hilarious.
Dang. I wish I could read it without looking for each second kanji in dictionary. (Of course that I'm know what is happening helps a lot ^^)

Thank you so much for these raws!
When I have the translation it seems much easier to relate to the story rather then the art. But the graphics are the real reason I always come back to this strip.
I always am amazed that his (abstract, outlined, empty) characters inhabit his (realist, outlined, but filled) landscapes and interiors. - Even though the characters and their environments are actually physically separated by large amounts of white space (page 472). But then in 476 the two elements blend together and Alpha grows out of the landscape.

It's great to have both the RAW and the translated version. (Of course to get the best RAW is to buy the manga when it comes out ^^ But it'd be 1 and half year).
