Hey all,
After purchasing Terottero Chronicle from The Other Dave and enjoying the contents, I thought I should share the highlights with the rest of the YKK community. Here are links to the primo scans:
-Terottero Chronicle Cover

-YKK Yakuza Spoof

-Rough Sketches by Ashinano-san

The sketches lend some insight into how he composes his characters so delicately.
Sorry for the limited Geocities bandwidth, I need my money for more doujin and artbooks! ;D

Thanks, Glen, those are very interesting. I especially loved the last four!
But, I am unclear on where these come from. What is Terottero? Are the first two fan-art? Very nicely done, yes! (The yakuza one was funny, wish I could read that...)
If you (or anyone) can shed some light on the origin of these pics, it would be very cool.
Thanks again!

> (The yakuza one was funny, wish I could read that...)
rough translation:
Panel 1:
 The Immortal... Al!
Panel 2:
 *whoosh!*
 GRAAAAAAAAAAAH!
See if you can withstand a strike from the Great Spinning Blade Taapon---!
Panel 3:
 *ba-ba-ba-ba-bang!*
 ow...
 *bam! bam! bam!*
 gyaaaaaaaaaah!
we are amused.

Heh, I've been taught to never "pet" the lines like this, but use smooth, calm lines. I will never be able to draw anything even roghly similar to any YKK pages (besides the empty ones, maybe...), I guess.
Very interesting technique, though. Seems like "toying" with the picture.

The last four rough sketches are from Ashinano and the cover and yakuza spoof are from other artists that have series published through Afternoon Magazine.
A handful of other illustrations were adult-oriented (and poorly drawn, at that).
I'm still at a loss at what's meant by the title Terottero. :/

"Terotero" was used in the YKK introduction on the inside cover of Volume 1. I provided a translation in my thread on this forum.
According to a well-read Japanese friend, it is a very, very rarely used word, and he could not provide an accurate translation for me (in the Volume 1 intro, it refers to the very slow winding-down of the world).
