Howdy,
Chapter 127 has made an appearance over at:
http://www.cafealpha.org
Be sure to tell the elves how much you appreciate them. It's cheaper than buying elf biscuits.
Now for a secret elf news flash. The elves have stated that one more goodie is in the works for the near future. That will have to tide you folks over, since I am going to Japan for a couple weeks and won't be able to receive the cryptic elven fever dreams. I'm leaving next week and will be back around the end of August.
Best,
Dave

Have a wonderful time in Japan Dave. Hopefully you'll find some YKK goodies over there. You and the Elves, you know who you are, deserve our sincerest gratitude for all you've done for us. It's a lot of hard work translating and fixing up a chapter for us to read. The discussions I have with people as each chapter comes about gives me a deeper appreciation for the series and for the wonderful characters contained within.
On that note I do have to say Alpha's comment to Kokone about floating is quite cryptic, at least to me it was. At first I thought it was in reference to her "Flying" but Kokone's reply has me thinking it could be about the meteor shower they were watching. Now I could be wrong but it seems to me that line could have two meanings or Kokone has a secret that's yet to be revealed that relates to the "flying" we've seen Aloha and director Alpha do. I liked how Makki tried to stay awake to watch the meteor shower in her own home but couldn't last as long as the robots. Makes me wonder how long they could go without sleep and if sleep is a way to recarge whatever internal power source they have.
As always keep up the great work guys.

Howdy,
>On that note I do have to say Alpha's comment to Kokone about floating is quite cryptic
My take on it is that it's an optical illusion caused by laying on your back and staring at the shooting stars. They seem to have the illusory feeling that there are moving up, when really it's the shooting stars that are falling down.
Kinda like when the car next to you at the stop light suddenly moves forward, and you get the sensation you are rolling backwards.
Best,
Dave

From a former elf to the current elves, thanks.
It reminds me of the last time I watched a meteor shower. About 3 years ago, I was staying in an apartment above my parent's garage. They owned a house on a lake on the Olympic Penninsula at the time. It was quite remote, so there was very little artificial light. Around 1:30am, I walked out onto the little porch I had and watched as the shower started. One here, another there, and suddenly there were dozens of them, streaking through the sky. Surprisingly, my parents walked out onto their deck to watch as well. It was well after they normally go to bed, and it was bitterly cold, well below freezing, but I had mentioned I would be watching the shower to them earlier in the evening, and they wanted to see it, too. I'm a rather reserved person, so I often feel a bit removed from my family. But there we were, sharing the moment together. I'll always remember that night fondly.

Thanks for more great scanslations! BTW, it may already be mentioned in the forum, but found this fanfic that has some of the feel of YKK:

First of all, a hearty thank you to the "elves" who gave us these great translations!
Second, this chapter of YKK really stayed with me long after I read it; the story reminded me of the magical first time I saw the rings of Saturn using a telescope.
Like Christine, I also wonder about the robots` need for sleep. We have seen Alpha and Kokone grow tired, but do they need the same amount of sleep as humans? And do they sleep for the same reasons?

Many many thanks to dDave and the Elves (sounds like a 60's cover band) for another wonderful English version of this magical title. Bravo to you all, whomsoever you might actually be! ;)
I really liked this chapter (as I always do with each chapter) and the way that we get, not so much a new insight, but a sort of emphasis on Makki's character... Always claiming she doesn't want to join in, but sneaking involvement anyway... ;)

Judging from my memories of the astronomy club what Makki does is the worst thing to do, watching the stars alone and from a warm place (well at least warmer than alpha and kokone's). Whatever you do, you will end up asleep without even noticing.
And it is quite right that meteor rains take place late in the night, in the very few hours before sunrise, because it is just then when the earth sweeps its orbit and capture most of the dust that . Most people miss them simply because they begin to watch too early and get bored....
All in all, a very beatiful episode, especially in their progression, just because it made me remember the cold and quite nights of observations.
Anyway thank to the elves for giving us what we desire most: more translated YKK

aw man. chapter 127 make me wanna go find out when the next meteor storm will be, but cuz of my limit on transportation, i can't seem to find a good place. however, chapter 127 make meteor storm seem like a magical thing. like what was said in position chapter 7.

I hardly see the stars, let alone meteor showers and likes. (I live in the heart of the city X_X )
Sad to say, I can't really appreciate this chapter due to the lack of experience.
But thanks ye elves for uploading the comics! *kisses the elves*
