Same here, thanks a lot! ^_^

This series gives me a nice summer feeling where time doesn't matter anymore... A welcome break from these hectic times where every second counts.

This is one of those series I wish would never end...

I’d like to add a VERY sincere thank you for the translation. I just discovered YKK a couple of days ago, through the usual circuitous chain of internet links – Miyazaki discussion group to Haibane Renmei sites, then a mention of YKK, and through abut 20 other pages, eventually here. So I started to download pages (at work, a faster connection) and ended up reading it all, eventually sitting in front of the screen long after everybody at work had left, with tears running down my face!! Now this is REALLY weird – I’m a 47-year-old mechanical engineer who no one would ever describe as particularly emotional. Ashinano Hitoshi has certainly produced something amazing.

Well,

This message is to inform that I have received nine volumes of YKK last May 20. As I live in Brazil, and I ordered them by sea shipping ($$ issues), they took only 96 (ninety six) days to arrive :-P. I am pleased that I have paid Mr. Hitoshi for his marvelous work. Now, I am waiting for volume 10 and more of neild's translation work ;-).

We could open a new forum topic about how much people is buying the volumes after reading the translations. I suppose this number is not so low as one could guess.

See you people.

I want to add my voice there and say thank you a lot to all the individuals involved in this translation + scan works and for the maintenance of this website.

I discovered YKK with another langage translation , as this masterpiece is unfortunately not available in my country
Then i found by chance ykk.misago.org a lot later.

This forum is very interesting for me, as i read numerous great theories about this manga universe with very coherent explanations , i like the quality of the discussions running there as they open for me a lot more doors into YKK.

As i am not very fluent in english langage , please forgive me for my non-participation here as i am too unsure to put the right english words to translate my opinion when posting in english (this single post took me some time).
But be assured that i enjoy reading this forum very often.

Thanks again to everybody there and keep up the great work and discussions quality.

Many, many thanks for bringing us such an invaluable series. YKK certainly strikes a chord for me, it vividly reminds me of my childhood memories from Korea.

Please keep up your amazing work in bringing these translations to us. Trust me, your dedication is making a wonderful difference for all of us! We're all rooting for you to press on! ^ o ^

YKK is a wonderful series. Although I have not cried because of it yet, but it made me think. Aa...maybe it's because I don't own the book itself. Reading on a book and reading on a computer is a different feeling altogether. I have read the whole thing, every page (not all in one day though) and I'm eager for the next issue.

I also want to thank you. I've quickly fallen in love with the manga, and really appreciate the work you've done.

I've watched the anime as well, but it really isn't as "nice" as the manga.

I'd like to add my "Thank You" as well. A little history: Having had read a review of the anime on Anime Academy, I downloaded the OAV's and have watched them over and over. A search on the internet brought me to this site, where I downloaded all the translations. Now I have just returned from Anime Boston, where I bought all 11 volumes from Sasuga books (Thanks for the link). I guess what I'm trying to say is that I was an instant fan of the series, as well. Keep up the good work, Neil.

Haha, I just got back from Anime Boston too, and I was so stupid that I just assumed the dealer's room wouldn't have YKK... then I came back to this website, and I noticed you listed them as your main vendor, gahhh! Anyway, thank you for your exquisite scans and translations.

Thank you very much for making this very handy website and top-of-the-line scanlations.

Like others, on the internet I heard rumors and descriptions of a special masterpiece of a manga. After only finding a few chapters elsewhere, this site was a goldmine when I finally found it. ^_^ Oh yeah!

YKK is a great manga, and it's really nice of you to keep the project going.

After reading your scanlations, I decided to buy volume 11 the other day. Now I'm just waiting for Amazon to ship nr 1-10 ^^
