Northern Town

While looking for something else (the thing in thegarage), I came across a reference to Kinugasa ( http://ykk.misago.org/Afternoon2004/110.html ). Not knowing where that was I googled for it and came across a link to Kinugasa campus of the Ritsumeikan University (http://www.ritsumei.ac.jp/eng/profile/visit_rits/index.shtml ) which is located in " 56-1 Toji-in Kitamachi, Kita-ku, Kyoto". Kitamatchi, is that the "Northern Town" we see mentioned every now and then? ( http://ykk.misago.org/Afternoon2004/113.html )

Howdy,

I don't think so. It looks like you misspelled the town when you googled it. It's "Kinagusa" not "Kinugusa".

Also, Kyoto is several hundred kilometers to the sound of the Yokohama area.

Best,

Dave

You are right. Yes, I did find the distance rather on the large side for a scooter trip. Thanks for quick reply.
I'd really like an web editable map so we could add these little places we see references to. Does something like that exist?

It is spelled "Kinagasa" or "Kinagusa" in misago.org's translation but "Kinugasa" is the right spelling when searching. "The northern town" in Alpha's world is today's downtown Yokosuka and Kinugasa is another town in Yokosuka.

Yokosuka: [v3, p101] [a2004, 116]
Kinugasa: [v8, p95] [a2003, 136] [a2004, 110]
