I found that a letter of Yi alphabet looks like sensei's mark [v6, p137]:
'YI SYLLABLE QYP' (U+A415):

I don't know anything about Yi language. Does this have something to do with Sensei?

Howdy,
Very interesting find. I would have to say that it is more than coincidence, given Ashinano's obvious interest in some aspects of chinese culture. I wonder if we can get a meaning for that character. Is it hanzi, or is it phonetic?
