I can't seem to get the file box to show up in reply mode in any of my own Futallaby-run sites. Anyone know which option I have to set to change this?
Futabally does not have a file in reply mode. You have a few options:
Oh hey, I found something.

Looks like it was hacked for a lolicon board. enjoy
Seem's hacking's gonna hafta be the way to go. Futiadnet is a bitch to use with Perl-based image boards (the code has to be in a seperate folder from any of the created/modified html/img files). I've tried Wakaba before to no avail.
You are the man. I thank you.
I'm been meaning, on and off, to add support for keeping the files in different directories, but it feels like such utter idiocy to have to do that. I am of the firm opinion that sites that are set up like that are just run by utter idiot admins, who are just copying ages-old setups for superstitious reasons. Especially since they often (and apparently in your case) allow you to run PHP anywhere anyway, totally defeating any (imagined) security gain.

i hacked Futallaby to allow images in reply posts. on !WAha's suggestion, i made sure the image replies were deleted when their parent post was deleted, too. if anyone's interested, i'll put the script somewhere to download. it doesn't take any additional config options and it uses the same database structure.
it's in use on a fairly slow board and seems to work well, after some showstopping post deletion bugs got taken care of and some posts were readded via SQL. :)
Does it still use the whole damn image as a thumbnail when the thumbnailer fails?

unfortunately, yeah. it just changes the img tag to reflect how large the image appears. that behavior shouldn't be too difficult to change, though.
the hacked futallaby you guys provided is great, and I thank you for it.
Is there a hack for omoitting posts? That's all this baby needs before it's perfect in my eyes.
what about is there a hack for stickys?
Stickies have no place on an image board. Leave those on phpbb.
