http://www.0chan.net/w/ - The Switzerland of image boards.
http://www.5chan.net/ - lol furries
Post more, unless they prefer to stay secret.

is this even functional? there's no activity and any attempt to post is met with an error.
>>391
oops, looks like i messed up the permissions when i was switching servers around.
should be fixed now.

Nice site. Managed to open three popup windows, close the original window, maximize my browser, and bother me with message boxes asking if I wanted to clean my registry -- despite the fact that I'm running adblock and have most javascript either disabled or limited. Oh, and I don't even have a registry.
tl;dr fix your shit.

Oh yay, another new imageboard with nothing to offer that isn't already out there.
Does anyone actually have original ideas anymore?
this is one I frequent - http://www.megachan.net. the boards are rather quiet tho, which is a pity :(
Its boards include a cyberpunk and steampunk board
http://anchan.an.ohost.de/trevorchan.php
It´s called /co/chan. Apparently, some guys from 4chan´s /co/ made a temporary imageboard to post videos and stuff in.
>>404
Amazing! I've never seen an internal server error in a popup ad before.

Looks like trb is back and with yet another new domain. Questionable content as usual.
First thing I saw when I clicked on /b/:
> eji!dicksDicksdicks ## Admin ##
Fake tripcodes AND capcodes? Laaaame. Also means tripcodes can't be trust to mean anything on that board, so anyone who has a valid reason to use a tripcode should stay well away from it.
With kusaba, the admin only can set the tripcode for himself and other admins, as far as I know. Correct me if I'm wrong, but either way, it's really nothing to worry about.
Also, by your logic, anyone who has a valid reason to use a tripcode should stay well away from Kusaba. Then again, maybe other board scripts have this ability and you just don't know? Best best would be to stay away form them all in that case.
>>425
Obviously you have to trust the admins not to be dicktards and post with everyone's tripcodes. I'm just saying I wouldn't trust of the admins of that board. Or really, as you say, Kusaba' s boards in general.
I've looked at a lot of imageboard scripts, but somehow this "feature" of being able to post with a custom not-tripcode has escaped me. (Perhaps I've missed a few of its "features" in my amazement at the altogether shittiness of the script as a whole, but that's a different subject.)
My point isn't that it's not possible with other boards, it's that Kusaba's interface is actively suggesting people do this by providing a fake tripcode field. Sure, you can do the same with Kareha with capcodes, or really with any board by editing the database (or whatever storage method it uses) but it's not something that the board is specifically written to do.
I think you would need to go into the config or a related file to set the fake tripcode. It's not as if there's a page with "FAKE TRIPCODE HERE" or anything like that. Though, I do understand how one would feel uncomfortable about the whole thing if you really NEED to use a tripcode. But generally, I don't think it's something that would worry the average poster.
wow
I just tried to install that shit again, and it's even more ridiculously complicated now than it used to be.
what a piece of shit.
well, aren't admins also supposed to be allowed to inject SQL? that could easily modify any tripcode. The point is you will have to trust admins, anywhere on the Internet
>>429
I guess you tl;dr'd >>426.
> Sure, you can do the same with Kareha with capcodes, or really with any board by editing the database (or whatever storage method it uses) but it's not something that the board is specifically written to do.
My point being kusaba is the only board that actively suggests it.
>>429 Actually, with well-designed software, the admins could be lying sacks of shit and they still couldn't impersonate you.
Oh wow, yet another ...
Fuck it, I can't be bothered to even write a whole sentence deriding a new useless board anymore.
http://freechan.org
it's up and not doing so bad. The mods do a fairly decent job of keeping the "when i was", laugh you lose, post ending in xx threads away. I'd like to get some intelligent discussion boards populated though.
>>436
Isn't that run by that same shitstain who flooded every single board from the overchan with 11chan ads? And then proceeded to get DDoSed, gave up, tried again a few months later with Failchan, which also failed because he's a complete douche, then tried again with Echochan, and also failed at that?
It is a entirely worksafe imageboard that does not cover weeaboo topics.
The number 444 disturbs me so I'm making the postcount of this thread 445.
This thread should adopt a "no lulz" rule, wherein any post linking to a site containing the word "lulz" gets aborn'd on sight.
>>451
welcome 2 the internets.
i hope you can comprehend reading.
>>453
...and you decide that punctuation doesn't matter?
Basically, you've proven my point.
Updated the link to my board,
www.anonib.com/averagechan/
If you pick up anonib.
Not your average anonymous board.
>>459
True. Your average anonymous board doesn't shit out with xml parsing errors.
>>460
I fixed a problem with two of the text boards and they validated fine, the site is new and /s/ was setup for a reason.
>>461
It's still broken, or broken again. You should give up the xhtml unless you're also planning on fixing your Kareha installation.
XHTML is awesome. Either your code is either well formed or it is a failure. There is no ambiguity.
>>461 you're having issues with encoding, it looks like.
Fixed now.
> A somewhat hacked up version of the Wakaba Image Board script, omitting such cosmetic functionalities like Javascript.
Why?
>>466
Speed mostly. I find those features such as auto-post linking a bit useless on slow-moving boards. The goal is in the end, faster content at slower download speeds. (In before somebody calls me out for not having compression enabled as well, working on that, lighty's being wonky.)
That being said, cross-thread linking does work through pure html.
>>466
I have JS usually disabled, so that's a welcome change.
Of course, JS files are aggressively cached by most browsers.

Kusaba? Check.
"Random" board in bold? Check.
Scientology raid? Check.
Red-flag words such as "lulz", "srsly", or "9000"? Check.
Default ugly-ass layout? Check.
Free and/or oversold cheap web hosting that will break under any actual load? Check.
Yep, looks like another useless 4chan clone. At least you spent two seconds changing the favicon.
Can someone please register all ???chan.(org|net|com) domains? You'd be doing the world a favor.
>>477
No, register as in purchase, and point all of them to domain parking services. Preferably, one which returns a page saying "YOU ARE NOT CLEVER FOR HAVING THOUGHT OF THIS DOMAIN NAME"
Include some ads there, and you'd have yourself a winner.
I'm tired of seeing all these shitty Kusaba 4chan clones sprouting around nowadays.
>>480 "There are no threads in this board, why don't you start one?"
I just opened it today, so don't expect alot of posts.
>>480
Well......
Thanks for the feedback.

(and I really hope you are), you're already doing most of the work. Plus, there's libraries abound for other markup schemes; PHP-Markdown, for example, is pretty easy to install and use.I'd still go for hiding the mod panel login on a different page. (admin.php
, maybe?) It's a wart on an otherwise very clean layout.
